Oh well, our boys did not win any of the award nominated but their results are not that bad.. anyway they will not be attending the ceremony tonight either due to their packed schedule. Just to share the results with you for a record.. :)

The 2009 Melon Music Awards will be kicking off tonight and we're getting ready to cover this star studded event! We have high hopes for this one as the majority of artists from all of the major entertainment labels have confirmed their attendance.

After the first two highly controversial award shows this year with the Mnet Asian Music Awards going to YG Entertainment artists and the Golden Disk Awards being dominated by the SM Family, the Melon Music Awards play a key role in determining who the best artists of 2009 "really" are, as they hold the tie breaking vote.

In addition to the confirmation of attendance from various major artists, there will be lots of sexy spectacles, with SNSD, Kara, 2NE1 and Brown Eyed Girls, set to put on a very special "Girl Power" joint performance.

Although SM Entertainment artists are dominating the online polls, we'll have to wait to see which artists nab the awards. Stay tuned to allkpop for full coverage, starting tonight at 7PM Korea Standard Time!
